LEICESTER: Doris I. (Caldwell) Cherry, 92, of River Street in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Thursday, April 15 at Eddy Pond East in Auburn.
Her husband Douglas T. Cherry, Jr. died in 2008. She leaves her son Brian T. Cherry and his wife Florenceanne of Millbury, her daughter Susan A. Bulman and her husband Frank of Rochdale, 7 grandchildren; Jaime McKeon and her husband John, Frank Bulman, III and his wife Kristen, Julien, Jimmy, Brendan and Connor Cherry, and Ty Collins, 2 great grandsons; Seamus and Liam McKeon, her daughter in laws; Robin Cherry and Andrea Cherry-Collins. She is predeceased by her sons; Mark D. Cherry in 2014, James A. Cherry in 2004, grandson Michael S. Cherry in 2017 and her brother Edward Caldwell in 2004.
Doris worked at Worcester Tool & Stamping in Rochdale for 28 years before retiring in 2001. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church and an active participant in the ECW (Women's Group), Prayer Shawl knitting group, director and member of the Altar Guild, Vestry and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Leicester Senior Citizen Club and attended the Leicester Senior Center. Over the past 2 years, she was active in the Eddy Pond Community.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Eddy Pond for their passionate care of their mother while a resident at the facility.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Henry and Edna (Trudell) Caldwell.

Burial will follow in Greenville Baptist Cemetery, 686 Pleasant St., Rochdale at 11 a.m. for all to attend. There are no public calling hours at her request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 142, Rochdale, MA 01542 or Leicester Food Pantry, 759 Main St., Leicester, MA. 01524.
