Nancy D. Vincent, 66, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Dorminy Mill Baptist Church, Ben Hill County, with Rev. Isaac Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Mrs. Vincent was born February 21, 1940, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late John Aaron and Mary Gibson Harp. She lived in the community since 1981 coming from Madeira Beach, Florida. Mrs. Vincent was an insurance agent and a former executive vice-president with Brokers Service Insurance in Largo, FL. She was a member of the Broker Service Board in Florida and served on several insurance boards. Most recently, she worked as a field representative for several years with the United States Census Bureau. She was a member of Dorminy Mill Baptist Church and the WMU.
Mrs. Vincent is survived by her husband: James E. “Jim” Vincent, Jr. of Fitzgerald; one son and daughter-in-law: James E. “Jimmy”, III and Patty Vincent of Fitzgerald; two daughters and a son-in-law: Connie and Roy Thomas of Maryville, TN and Valerie V. Smith of Ellijay; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
