New Bedford – Miguel A. Santiago, age 72, of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lydia (Oppenheimer) Santiago.
Miguel was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico to Gregorio Santiago Correa and Florencia Davila Allende. He had worked for AJ Wright for many years.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Lydia; 4 children, Michael Santiago, Miguel Santiago, Samantha Santiago and Rafael Santiago; 9 grandchildren, Justine, Jasmin, Michael, Kylie, Amya Naveh, Giovanni, Elliot, Samuel and Nehemiah; siblings, Carlos, Gregory, Luz, Norma, Marta, Maria, Carmen, Hilda and Elba; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Miguel’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Saturday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 A.M. with a service to take place at 9:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
All attendees are required to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home may be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
