New Bedford – Alan Scott Jeffrey, age 57, of New Bedford, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Sears) Jeffrey.
Alan was born in New Bedford, MA to Rene Jeffrey, Sr. and Betty (Bettencourt) Jeffrey. He had worked as a truck driver for Cape Cod Express for many years. Alan enjoyed camping with family and friends, motorcycle rides, shooting at the range and most importantly, spending time with his wife and his family.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Justin A. Jeffrey, Jordan S. Jeffrey and his wife, Shawntae and Meagan J. Jeffrey; his parents, Rene and Betty; grandchildren, Kaden, Audrina, Mila, Peyton, Jayce, Carter, Jayda and Lily; his siblings, Sharon Furtado, Rene Jeffrey, Jr., his twin and his wife Monique, Rhonda Audette and her husband Marc, Cheryl Jeffrey and Jamie Jeffrey; his mother-in-law, Cynthia Sears; sister-in-law, Rhonda L. Amaral and her husband Robert; brother-in-law’s, Scott A. Sears and Jeffrey A. Sears and his wife Rebecca; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also the son-in-law of the late Walter E. “Gene” Sears and brother-in-law of the late Bruce Furtado.
Alan’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Thursday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 A.M. with a service to take place at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private for the family only.
All attendees are required to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home may be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
