It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth L. Bock on April 7, 2021, at the age of 81 in East Freetown, MA. Ken was the husband of Janice E. (Coelho) Bock, with whom he shared 58 loving years of marriage.
Born in Sheridan, MT, he was the son of the late Orville D. and Delphine (Edwards) Bock. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves.
Ken was employed for 31 years by Commonwealth Electric as a lineman and line foreman.
He loved traveling in his motorhome throughout the United States and spending his winters in Florida. An avid golfer, Ken was a member of the Allendale Country Club. He looked forward to his annual hunting trips in New Hampshire. He was a Little League coach for the Panthers Club and later the manager for the Panthers Pony League. He also coached football for the Lancers. Ken had a special bond with his grandchildren who all adored him.
He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, James Bock and his wife Stacey of West Wareham and Paul Bock and his wife Irene of North Easton; a daughter, Christine Tennyson of Bridgewater; 6 grandchildren, Emily Bock, Elisabeth L. Tennyson, Caroline M. Tennyson, Ryan, Sean, and Katie Bock; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Kathleen Sweeney of Butte, MT and Diane Jewett of Helena, MT; and predeceased by his brothers, Orville Bock, Leo Bock, Charles "Bud" Bock, Donald Bock, and sisters, Shirley Correia and Dolores Bock.
We would like to thank the team at Southcoast VNA-Hospice who provided such compassionate care and to whom we are eternally grateful. In accordance with his wishes, private arrangements have been made with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
