Robert V. “Bob” Kokinda, Sr., 67, of Derry, NH died Friday April 9, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. Kokinda was born in Hazleton, PA on May 18, 1953, a son of the late Michael “Waa” and Margaret (Mehalko) Kokinda.
Bob was a long-time employee of Malden Mills and enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge of weaving looms. He was always known for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make anyone laugh. He was a proud American and patriot. Also an avid gun enthusiast, he enjoyed target shooting with his children before his illness.
He is survived by his two children, Robert V. Kokinda, Jr. of San Diego, CA, and Brianne Kokinda of Londonderry; one sister, Shirley Ciculya of Hazleton, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two siblings, Michael Kokinda, and Rosemary Kerr.
Following cremation, the family will hold private memorial services at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
