Ronnie David Kailing, 55, of Lenox passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Leila United Methodist Church in Omega with the Rev. Rocky Carrington officiating. Mr. Kailing will be laid to rest at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery in Omega. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Michael Dozier, Zeph Touchton, Derrick Spires, Justin Hale, Michael McFarland and Lee Welch will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 22, 1966 in Columbus, Mr. Kailing was the son of the late Klaus Kailing, Sr. and Martha Ann Stephens Kailing. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Frieda Stephens. Before retiring, he worked as an electrical maintenance technician with the University of Georgia Tifton Campus. He loved his granddaughters and he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to watch drag racing.
Mr. Kailing is survived by his wife, Cindy Kitchens Kailing of Lenox; one son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Jessica Kailing of Norman Park; one daughter and son-in-law, Brittani and Asa Chastain of Sparks; one brother and sister-in-law, Klaus Jr. and Chris Kailing of California; two granddaughters, Brinley Kailing and Blakely Kailing; sisters-in-law, Brenda Jacobs of Moultrie, Hilda Yelverton of Lenox and Peggy and Donald Roberts of Lenox; and several nieces and nephews.
