Michael C. Fotiades, 80, of Leicester, died Friday, April 9th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by two brothers, George C. Fotiades of Leicester and Adam C. Fotiades and his wife, Jerilyn of Worcester; two sisters, Demetra Leveillee and Deborah Milosh and her husband, Michael all of Leicester; his nieces and nephews, Melita, Denise and Nicholas Fotiades, Christopher and his daughter, Corinne, Michelle Jubinville and her husband, Donald, Jr. and their son, and Mike's best buddy, Hunter and Mikey Milosh, Jr.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Christos and Miriam (Kangas) Fotiades; and was a graduate of Worcester Boy's Trade. Mike had worked as a salesman for Rozefsky Dry Goods and later in its shipping and receiving department as well as for Star Dry Goods before retiring. He and two of his friends had sponsored a Men's Slow Pitch Softball Team called VEM, for Vitty, Eppy and Mike. In March of 1998 Mike was inducted into the USSSA Slow Pitch Softball New England Hall of Fame. In his younger years, he was a fixture at the Ionic Avenue Boy's Club, and had competitively played Table Tennis earning many wins over the years he competed. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
