Brockton – Susanne (Barling) Cameron 73, of Brockton, died Friday April 9 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Brockton in 1948 and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Barling and Barbara Corthell and a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School.
She had worked locally as a bus driver, a bartender and a store cashier.
She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots, and had loved elephants, scratch tickets and visiting New Hampshire.
She leaves behind her loving children, Kathleen Calcasola, Shannon Lund and her husband Eric, Christopher Sawicki and his partner Andy and Jessica Miranda and her husband Frank as well as seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Jeannie Cogswell and Michele Barling and many nieces, cousins and lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Barling.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Monday April 12 from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. All other services are private.
