Christina Marie Sicari, 27, of Billerica, formerly of Wakefield, died peacefully on Saturday April 3, 2021 surrounded by her family at home after a courageous 9-month battle with colorectal cancer.
Born in Melrose, MA on December 15, 1993, she was the daughter of Tony and Debbie Sicari.
Chrissy was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School and The University of Massachusetts, Lowell. She worked as a Supply Chain Operations Analyst at Curriculum Associates for the past 2 years.
She is survived by her father and mother, Tony and Debbie Sicari of Billerica (formerly of Wakefield), her sister, Vicky Imbasciano, her husband Joey Imbasciano and their daughter Emma of Arlington, her boyfriend Zach Cerovac of Lowell, her grandfather Harold Piercey of Hollywood, FL and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was the granddaughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Chickie) Sicari of Wakefield, and Constance Piercey of Barnstead, NH.
Chrissy battled a courageous 23-year fight with cancer. Being diagnosed with Leukemia at 4 years old and receiving a bone marrow transplant at 7, Chrissy was given a second shot at life and she was always sure to live every minute to the fullest. Chrissy’s love for Disney began when she was given the opportunity to go to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish foundation at 5 years old. Disney made her feel invincible and she continued to visit many times with her family and boyfriend. She also volunteered at the Make-A-Wish foundation to ensure every kid’s dreams were made true like hers.
Chrissy also had a love for cats, especially her “fluff” Chloe. She enjoyed traveling, notably to Chicago, Nashville and frequented Mohegan where she was one of the luckiest slot players her family had ever seen. Chrissy was a lover of country music, especially Taylor Swift, and attended many concerts with her friends. She was a “foodie” and always was scoping out new restaurants with Zach and she had an unmatchable tolerance and love for hot sauce like no one else could.
Chrissy’s greatest quality was her ability to always make the best of every situation and putting everyone else before herself. She looked for any excuse to get together with her family and friends to laugh and make memories.
Burial services will be held at Forest Glade Cemetery, 470 Lowell St., Wakefield on Friday April 16, 2021 at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215 or Make-A-Wish MA/RI, 133 Federal St. 2nd floor, Boston, MA 02110.
