FALL RIVER – Delores Fernandes, age 87, passed away at Kimwell Nursing Center on April 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Fernandes. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Belmira (Lima) Alves. Delores loved spending time with family, especially going out to dinner with her sister. She was very a simple person who loved to spend time at her home.
Delores is survived by her children Deborah Vidinha (husband Fernando) of Dartmouth and David Fernandes (wife Theresa) of Steubenville, OH; brother Joseph Alves; 4 grandchildren Ryan and Kevin Vidinha and Nathan and Stephanie Fernandes; 1 great-grandchild Joshua Arnold; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Lawrence Alves, Lorraine Cabral and Belmira Ventura.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a mass of Christian burial at Espirito Santo Church at 10 A.M. on Monday, April 12th. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
