GRISWOLD, CT: John A. Anderson, Jr., 66, died quietly at home in Griswold, Connecticut on Saturday, March 20, 2021, the first day of Spring in the new year.
He was born in Framingham on March 29, 1954 the son of the late John A. Anderson, Sr., born in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada and Claire V. Gladu Anderson, born in Cochituate.
John was a former longtime resident of Cochituate and was a proud member of the Wayland High School Class of 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Frances (Elliott) Anderson and was the brother of Judith Onorato and Pauline Anderson. John was the proud father of four children, Nelson John Anderson and his wife Kate Fowler Anderson; Jennifer Anderson Norman and her husband Glen Ernest Norman; Kathleen Anderson Groth and her husband Hans Harm Groth and Elizabeth Ann Anderson. He adored his four grandchildren, Samuel John Norman, Claire Viola Norman, Thea Elizabeth Anderson and Everett Titus Anderson.
John was a man of many talents and trades, but most recently and notably he was a herdsman on a dairy farm in Connecticut where he was always surrounded by the things he loved most – family, cows and tractors.
The family wishes to invite all friends and family to join them as they remember and celebrate John’s life
Walk through Memorial Visitations will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Masks are required to be worn in the funeral home and social distancing will be respected.
