LEICESTER___Albina C. Balcunas, 95, of Leicester died on Monday, March 22, 2021 in UMass Memorial Hospital, Belmont Street. She is survived by her niece Patricia Buchyn with whom she lived, a grandniece Kristiina Buchyn of Charlton, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Lenard A., Stephen J., and Vito S. Balcunas and Aldona Buchyn. She was born in Worcester a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Traupis) Balcunas.
Ms. Balcunas was raised and educated in Worcester graduating from the former Commerce High School. She worked in Worcester at State Mutual Insurance (Hanover Insurance Company), the Worcester City Clerk’s Office and the Massachusetts State Division of Employment and Training. She was a member of the former St. Casimir’s Church, Worcester, and the Knights of Lithuania.
Services and burial at St. John Cemetery are private. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
