FALL RIVER – Hilda C. Bettencourt, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Bettencourt Jr. Born in St. Michael’s, Acores, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Viveiros) Cabral.
Hilda was a devoted mother to Katherine Bettencourt (husband Tony) of Portsmouth, RI, Michael Barboza of Fall River, Lisette Barbosa of Fall River, Daniel Barbosa (wife Megan) of Lakeville, David Bettencourt of Fall River and Amy Bettencourt of Providence, RI; sister to Arthur Cabral, Mary Araujo and the late Charlie Cabral. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a mass of Christian burial at St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. on Saturday, April 10th. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
