Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Stockton) Koshivas, 77, of Franklin passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She was the beloved wife of Charles J. Koshivas since 1962.
Born in Milford on September 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Isabelle (Palmer) Stockton.
Betty was a resident of Franklin for most of her life. She grew up in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1961.
Betty worked along with her husband and family at their farm, Fairmont Fruit Farm, in Franklin for many years. She had also been a cook at Milford Hospital for several years.
Betty enjoyed being a homemaker as well as reading and knitting. She loved spending time on Prince Edward Island and wintering at Bradenton Beach, Florida.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons; John Koshivas and his wife Cheryl and their children Alexis and John R. of Franklin; Charles R. Koshivas and his wife Marilyn of Bellingham and his son Charles J. and wife Loren, son James P. his wife Haley and son Joseph Peter of Franklin; and Mark Kinder and his wife Kay and their children Caleb, Abby and Micah of Severn, Maryland.
Betty is also survived by her brother-in-law Peter Koshivas of Medway, two sisters-in-law Ethel Koshivas of Medway and Sylvia Young and her husband Roland of Uxbridge and her nephew Ernie Stockton of Bellingham.
She was predeceased by her brother Ernie Stockton and his wife Marie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, April 8 from 4 -7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
Her funeral service will be held privately on Friday, followed by burial at Oakland Cemetery in Medway.
