Beckwith, Jacqueline Churchill of Wellesley MA, Annisquam, MA and Hypoluxo, FL died after a brief illness on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA. She was age 59. Jacqui was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Virginia C. and Richard A. Beckwith of Wellesley Hills, MA.
A graduate of Wellesley High School, Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Yale in China Program. For sixteen years Jacqui lived and worked in Hong Kong and retained her citizenship there. After six years with First Chicago, she found a niche designing and manufacturing, in China, colorful gifts supplied to her customers, Fortune 500 companies as incentives to their customers in 30 different countries. She has been involved in the private equity and venture capital industry in the U.S. and Asia, initially as an entrepreneur and later raising capital and providing strategic guidance for both companies and funds. Having set up many of her own companies, she currently held the position of Managing Director of Liora Partners LLC founded in 1996 as an independent boutique placement agency and advisory firm.
Jacqui enthusiastically enjoyed many interests including traveling, tennis, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, hiking, vintage clothing and collecting art.
In Massachusetts, she held memberships in the Annisquam Yacht Club, the Gloucester Elks Club, Lodge #892, the Adams Memorial Society in Quincy and was a also a "valued" member of the Asian Art Society of New England. While at University of Pennsylvania, Jacqui was a member of St. Elmo Club.
She is survived by her parents and her brothers, Scott A Beckwith of Canton, MA and his wife, Karen; Russell L. Beckwith of Raynham, MA., his wife Leslie and their son Banks. Surviving close relatives are her aunt Victoria Kempf of Sudbury, MA and her husband Mark; her uncles, Ted Dangelmayer of Gloucester, MA, his wife Lindy and Bob Dangelmayer of Houston, TX. She is also survived by many cousins and her long time friend Meg Maggio, who was with her every step of the way over these last months, along with Meg’s friend Davies Millett.
She will be missed by her family and many dear friends both here and all around the world.
Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4-6pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
