Marilyn Anne Stone-Massi passed away March 30, 2021 at the age of 85.
She was born in Providence, Rhode Island.
As a young girl, Marilyn grew up on Westminster Avenue and spent summers in Greenville, RI which was forever her happy place, filled with fond memories.
She graduated form Bayview High and later earned her nursing degree at Rhode Island College.
Marilyn devoted herself as a nurse primarily at St Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She also provided nursing care privately for family homes in Westport, MA and as well, at Hathaway Manor Nursing Home in N Dartmouth, MA.
She loved and steadfastly said yes to life, along with her family, the ocean, fishing and baseball. Together with her partner Leo, they frequented Cape Cod and the New England coast, fishing for striped bass and blue fish, playing folk music on the beach and openly welcomed family and friends in to their extended circle.
She also volunteered on the clean up committee for the east branch of the Westport River and at the Westport Senior Center, as well as many other places, whenever she found the opportunity to help.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, E. Franklin Stone, Sr. and Loyola Stone, Her loving husband of 50 years Leo Massi and her brothers Edgar Franklin Stone Jr., MD and Joseph Martin Stone.
Marilyn is survived by her four children, Stephen J Massi, David C Massi and grand-daughter Lillian Massi-Filliman, Dana Massi and her loving partner Gregg W Gilmore and Wayne Massi and wife Marcella L Skogen.
Dear Marilyn: daughter, sister, wife, mother, favorite aunt and dear friend, you will forever be missed.

A family memorial in Marilyn's honor is scheduled to be held on Monday, April 5th at 3:00 pm, at Highland Memorial Cemetery Chapel.
