Leanne Patricia Bruen, age 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her children and loved ones. Leanne was born March 29, 1957, in Lynn MA, to James and Helen Bruen. She was a strong and loving mother to Jennifer and Kate Vigue of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Sarah and Ryan Tzeng of Los Angeles, CA, Bonnie and Chris Aparicio of West Hartford, CT, Laura and Brendan Armour of Newton, MA, Catherine and Ralph Provencher of Shrewsbury, MA, James and Brittany Wetzel of Westborough, MA, and Mary Wetzel and Jim Wise of Westborough, MA. Leanne adored all her grandchildren, Cannon, Ryann, Ryleigh, Caitlin, Jackson, Ralphie and Quinn, to whom she is lovingly known as “Shana.” She is a cherished sister of Dorothy and Pat Jordan of Raleigh, NC, Kathleen and Paul Slack of South West Harbor, ME, Philip and Janet Bruen of Falmouth, ME, Maureen and Bob Webb of Lynn MA, Lynne and Adam Winter of Williston, VT and Kevin and Carolyn Bruen of Orinda, CA. She was a loving and fun aunt to her nieces and nephews and a friend to everyone she met.
While devoting her life to raising her seven children, she was beyond proud to return to school as an adult so she could follow in her parents’ footsteps and pursue her passion to educate children as a fourth grade teacher. An avid reader and talented crafter, Leanne loved making beautiful art. The beach is where she felt most at home, and her most precious moments were spent at Hampton Beach enjoying life to the fullest with her family and friends.
