Billy Trevena, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, April 2, 2021, at Salem Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Tommy Land, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, at the cemetery.
Mr. Trevena was born October 14, 1958, in Washington, Pennsylvania, to the late William E. Trevena, Sr. & Christine Wells Trevena. He was a 1977 graduate of Tift County High School and moved to the community in 1994. Mr. Trevena was retired from the City of Tifton Parks and Recreation. He loved woodworking, collecting trains and showing the trains to children at Christmas. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Laura Mays Trevena of Fitzgerald; two aunts: Lela Wells of Tifton and Edith Folsom of Moultrie; and a special friend David Keller of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Leigh Trevena.
