CHICOPEE – Raymond P. Marier, 61, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on January 22, 1960, a beloved son of the late Raymond E. Marier who was Called Home on February 8, 1994 and Theresa A. (Cybulski) Marier who was Called Home on September 3, 2005. He was raised and educated in Chicopee and had lived in Fairview his entire life. He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Don LaBelle Construction in Chicopee. He could always be found with a chainsaw in his hand cutting and delivering firewood locally. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and wildlife. He was especially fond of and enjoyed taking care of his neighborhood raccoon, “Rocco” who lived in his backyard. He leaves his lifelong partner, Eileen Cameron of Chicopee; his two loving and devoted sons, Raymond E. Marier and his partner, Ann McPherson, of Holyoke and Francis E. “Frank” Marier and his wife, Alexis, of Suffield, CT; his cherished granddaughter, Katarina Marier and his second granddaughter who is expected in July; and his many dear cousins, extended family members and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother, Edward F. Marier who was Called Home on August 29, 1986. His funeral services and burial will be private. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
