Edward H. "Eddie" Charpentier, 69, of New Bedford passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday March 28, 2021. He was the loving husband of Andrea (da Cruz) Barrett Charpentier.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Raymond H. and Christine (LeMaire) Charpentier, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Eddie was formerly employed by Alden Corrugated for many years. He later worked as a tow truck driver for many area companies and as an automobile mechanic for Boots Auto Services on Ashley Boulevard.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Andrea; his stepchildren, Dominic, Marcus, and Shyla Barrett; his grandchildren, Jenyvieve Trinidad and Dominic Barrett, Jr.; his sisters, Christine C. Comeau and her husband William, and Lea N. Charpentier and her companion Mary Lou Alfonso; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late George and Gerard Charpentier.
