Edna M. (DeLong) MacLeod, 85, of Franklin, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard MacLeod.
Born in Waltham on December 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Marion (Foote) DeLong.
Mrs. MacLeod was a resident of Franklin for over 50 years. She grew up in Weston and graduated from Weston High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. MacLeod had worked as a school bus driver in Franklin while her children were school age. She also taught aerobic classes for many years in Franklin and other area towns.
Mrs. MacLeod loved sports, especially watching her children and grandchildren play, and was also an avid New England sports fan.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn MacLeod of Oviedo, Florida and Timothy MacLeod and his wife Lisa of Franklin. She was the mother of the late Stephen MacLeod.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Randi, Rosanna, Derek, Drew and Tori MacLeod, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Helen Doyle and George and Robert DeLong.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 10 from 3 – 5 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Please follow all required Covid-19 guidelines including face coverings and social distancing.
A private funeral service will take place following the calling hours.
