Jeanne M. Barry, 90, of North Smithfield, formerly of Woonsocket, died Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Jeannette (Crepeau) Girard. She was a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School Class of 1948. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life. Over the years Jeannette lived in the Lynchburg, Virginia area and had resided in North Smithfield for the past several years.
Jeanne worked for Jacob Finklestein Company, Catamore Corporation and as a sale associate at Wal-Mart stores. She was employed as a security guard with the Woonsocket Housing Authority for a number of years. Jeanne had strong work ethic and insisted on working until she was 81 years old.
Outside of work Jeanne’s main hobby was trying her luck at casinos, especially Foxwoods. She was an avid bingo player….there better be BINGO in Heaven or else!!!
Jeanne was a member of both the St. Agatha and St. Joseph senior citizens groups and enjoyed participating in their activities.
Jeanne is survived by two sons Paul Barry of Jacksonville, Florida and Donald Barry and his wife Barbara of North Smithfield, and a daughter Denise Wilson of Woonsocket. She was the devoted grandmother of Donald Barry, and his wife Lisa, and Eric Wilson and great-grandmother of Venna and Evelyn Barry and Easton Cole Wilson.
Service for Jeanne were private.
