Boylston- Rose M. (Senecal) McDonald, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Clifford McDonald of Boylston. She also leaves behind her son David McDonald and his wife Hatsue of Boylston; two grandchildren- Nina and Stephanie McDonald; two great-grandchildren- Aidan Carreau and Aviana Ferrer; a sister Lillian Milne; and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.
Rose was born and raised in Boylston, daughter of George and Mary (Sauer) Senecal. She worked as a glassware technician for 17 years at the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology and was a member of St. Mary of the Hills in Boylston. Recently, she had enjoyed taking organ lessons with her husband for the past 12 years. Rose enjoyed shopping- just to browse, and above all else, she loved spending time with her family and being a mother and grandmother.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 9:30-10:30am at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA. A funeral mass will follow at 11am at St. Mary of the Hills, 630 Cross Street, Boylston, MA. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
