Wadis Monroe Brantley, 80, of Springfield, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Brantley will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born June 1, 1940 in Hazlehurst, Mr. Brantley was the son of the late Lawton Denver Brantley and Pauline Pearsons Brantley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Maria Lutolf Brantley. Before retiring, he was a truck driver for Walmart and he attended Burke Community Church in Burke, Virginia. He most loved attending events of his grandsons; sports, band and scouts.
Mr. Brantley is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike M. and Michele Brantley and Mark Brantley, all of Springfield, Virginia; one sister, Audrey B. Roberts; and three grandsons, Tyler J. Brantley (21), Joshua R. Brantley (19), and Ryan M. Brantley (15).
