FALL RIVER – Belmira Ventura, age 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 25, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John Ventura Jr. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Belmira (Lima) Alves. She was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church. She loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of the Vikings and Gold Wing Road Riders. She also enjoyed camping, sewing, traveling, going out to eat, bus trips with friends.
Belmira was a devoted mother to John J. Ventura of Swansea, Jo-Ann Ventura of Berkley and Jason Ventura of Pompano Beach, FL; sister of Dolores Fernandes, Joseph Alves, and the late Lorraine Cabral and Lawrence Alves; grandmother of John Ventura, Jamie Ventura, Thomas J. Palumbo, Brian Carlson and Stephanie Carlson; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, March 29th here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernards Church, Assonet at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
