NATICK: Helen (Bois) Monkewicz, 95, died on March 23, 2021 at the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Natick following a period of declining health.
She was born in Waltham on September 22, 1925 daughter of the of the late Eugene Bois and Margaret (Cadel) Bois
Helen was the devoted mother of Glenn Anthony of Natick; Wayne Anthony and his wife Princess Anthony of Natick, Joyce White and her husband Dan White of Tempe, AZ and the late William S. Monkewicz. Also survived by her grandchildren Carla, Carra and Carissa Dominguez and several great-grandchildren. Sister of Rhoda O’Neil and her husband Al of Bloomington, MN, the late Russell Bois, Ruth Driscoll and Dorothy DeMille. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late William B. Monkewicz who died in March of 1996 and the late Karl Anthony.
Helen has been a resident of Natick for the past 55 years and spent her formative years in East Boston where she graduated from high school.
She enjoyed spending time at the Natick Senior Center and with her friends playing Bingo. She was a devoted and loving mother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Walk through visitations will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm ONLY at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt. 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland. Due to COVOD-19, masks must be work and social distancing will be strictly adhered to.
Private family services and interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody will be held.
