Naomi Oseremen Osaighale, age 20, of Brockton, died accidently March 9, 2021. Naomi was born in Nigeria on June 23rd, 2000, a daughter of Dandy Osaighale and Philian Ukpebor-Osaighale. She moved to America when she was 15 and graduated from Brockton High School at the age of 17. Naomi was accepted to U-Mass Dartmouth to study chemistry and during her last year, she was chosen to be part of the Organic Chemistry Research Program with her professor. Naomi started her master’s degree program while still working on her bachelor’s degree. She was highly recommended by her professors and accepted into Harvard University for Astrophysics.
While Naomi was a student, she worked two jobs to support herself and financially assist an orphan attending school in Nigeria. She was also in a program where she taught preschoolers how to read.
Naomi loved life and music, especially the Korean pop band K-Pop and the song “I’m No Longer a Slave to Fear” by Bethel Music. She also loved to dance and socialize. Dancing was Naomi’s favorite thing to do and she was a member of a dance club called Pan-Africa where she nurtured her own talent and taught dance in her spare time.
Naomi had many dreams: traveling the world, learning about different cultures and seeing new places. She was full of life and had a bubbly personality. No matter the obstacle, Naomi always achieved her goals. Although she lived a short life, she lived a full life. Her passing has left a huge gap that can never be filled because she touched a lot of people and left a lasting impact.
Naomi is also survived by two sisters, Vanessa Osaighale and Pamela Osaighale and several uncles, aunties, and cousins.
