FALL RIVER – Maria S. Bonito, age 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 23, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose C. Bonito. Born in São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Ferreira) Galhofa. Maria loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Maria is the mother of Diane Aguiar (husband Victor), Lisa Labeta (husband Mario) and the late Ronald Bonito; sister of Olivia Reis, the late Mary J. Fernandes and Jose Domingos; grandmother of 5, Tiffany Bonito, Cory Labeta, Chelsea Aguiar, Collin Aguiar and Logan Labeta.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Saturday, March 27th with extended calling hours from 8-9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 10:00 A.M.
