FALL RIVER – Robert J. Berube, age 88, a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. Robert was the beloved husband of Muriel Florence (Pelletier) Berube and the son of the late Edmond E. and Ellen T. (Moffitt) Berube.
Robert was a US Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War, and retired from the Commonwealth of Mass where he worked for many years as an Auditor for the Division of Employment Security. After retiring, Robert worked as a Docent in the Newport Mansions for several years.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter, Kathy Kroger of Middletown, RI; two grandchildren: Michael Kroger (wife Alia) and James Kroger (wife Caroline McNamara); four great grandchildren: James, Clare, Gretchen, and baby Thomas Kroger; and many nieces & nephews. Robert was the brother of the late Raymond L. and Edmond E. Berube.
He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 7th in St. Joseph’s Church, 1335 N. Main St., Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
