Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Sugarman, 43, of Worcester died Friday, March 19th at home. He leaves partner, Tim Rebesco of Worcester; his mother, Donna (Cabana) Ramstrom of Leicester; step-father, Edward Ramstrom of West Boylston; two sisters, Jen Germain and her husband, John of Warren and Veronica Ramstrom and her partner, James King of Worcester; his grandmother, Dian Ramstrom of West Boylston; his aunt, Kathleen Brady and her husband, Thomas of Leicester; his nephews, Mickey King, Damien Germain, and Dominic Germain; his cousins, Matthew Brady and Julie Gardell and his good friend, Jesse Bonardi. His beloved dog, Jake passed away in 2019.
He was born in Worcester the son of Donald Sugarman and graduated from West Boylston High School. Joe was an EMT and supervisor for AMR for many years. He also worked as a dispatcher for the Holden and Worcester Police and was also a part-time police officer in Holden. Joe loved helping others in his community.
Disney, Hampton Beach, and Cape Cod were some of Joe’s favorite places to visit. He enjoyed technology, especially anything to do with radios and drones. Joe’s favorite pastime was spending time with his nephews.
Calling hours are Monday, March 29th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. followed by a service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 72 River Park Street, Suite 202, Needham, MA 02494.
