In Middleboro MA, Shirlie Ann Farrell, 92 years old, died peacefully at the Hannah B G Shaw Home on March 18, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Stella and Alfred Fickert of Middleboro. She was a resident of Taunton for 63 years. She was the cherished wife of the late John (Jack) Farrell for 60 years and beloved mother of the late David Farrell. She is survived by two sons, John and Jackie Hewett of FL, Bruce and Kathy DelSesto of MA, and two daughters, Cheryl and her husband Ken Scanlon of FL and Lisa and her husband Joseph Tommasiello of MA. Mother in law of Jennifer Henderson and her husband John Wade of MA and Nancy Farrell, widow of the late David Farrell of MA. Grandmother of Stephanie of NY, Jason of FL, Seth of ME, Alicia and Jacob of MA, Jaime Cox and Jennifer Spilewski of FL. Great Grandmother of eleven and Great Great Grandmother of 3. She is also survived by two sisters, Jane Bagdon of MA, Sallie Harris and her husband Joe of FL, and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed time with family and friends, reading, cooking, crocheting, playing bingo, building puzzles and occasional trips to Onset Beach on Cape Cod where she first met her husband Jack. She will be lovingly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Services will be private per request of the family.
