Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Snodgrass
Ventura - Barbara Ann (Bobbie) Snodgrass, 77, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 in Ventura, CA. Barbara was born in New Orleans, LA to Marion and Wesley Furqueron on August 5, 1943. She grew up in a military family, living in Far Rockaway (Queens), NY, Jacksonville, FL, and San Diego, CA. After high school she became a Navy wife and relocated to Ventura County. She went on to receive her nursing credentials in 1972 and would continue practicing in this field for over 20 years. She was a steadfast Catholic and a uniquely forthright woman who enjoyed helping others without judgement. Although she received joy from cooking, camping, crocheting, and dancing, her passion was beyond doubt her children and grandchildren. In her last 7 years, she spent time as a volunteer with thrift store organizations that allocated the majority of their sale proceeds to animal assistance programs.
Barbara is survived by her son, Raymond Owen Noote and daughter in law, DeNee Noote of Ventura along with seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, Edgar Owen Furqueron of Oxnard and three nieces. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Marie Adele Short and Kimberly Ann Noote.
Family and friends are invited to a Remembrance Service to be held Saturday April 3, 2021 at 11am at the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive Ventura.
