Obituary

John F. "Jack" Reynolds, Jr., 81, of Fairhaven died Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at home amongst family after a serious illness. He was the husband of the late Concetta "Connie" (Aiello) Reynolds.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John F. and Bertha (Schaak) Reynolds, he moved to Massachusetts while serving in the U.S. Air Force and lived in Southeastern Massachusetts for most of his life.

Jack was employed by Aiello Brothers for his entire career as a foreman and seafood buyer. He was well known and respected on the waterfront as well as in the commercial fishing and seafood processing community.

He was an expert at answering questions on Jeopardy and had a memory that amazed his family. Jack was an active member of the Elks Lodge 73 in New Bedford for many years. He enjoyed going to the casino and was an excellent craps player. In his later years he enjoyed his home and spending time with his most loyal companion Toy who was at his side until the end and feeding the birds who visited every day.

Jack is survived by three children, Thomas Reynolds of Florida, Anthony Reynolds and his wife Kelly of Mattapoisett, and Gracanne Zenga and her husband David of Falmouth; seven grandchildren, Meagan, Katie, Kristi, Samantha, John, Derrin, and Cain; ten great-grandchildren, Michael, Vincent, Lilliana, Gianna, Emily, Christopher, Kaylee, Nicole, Adrian, and Bruce, with another on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, John James Reynolds; two brothers, Kenny and Craig Reynolds; and his sister, Francis Reynolds.

His Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 8:30-10:15 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett.
