Cheryl M. (Brown) Scadding, an 11 year resident of Saugus and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. She was 63 years of age.
Cheryl was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on August 12, 1957, a daughter of the late Fred E. Brown and June M. (Long) Brown. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and attended high school. Cheryl was a homemaker throughout her life, dedicating herself to her beloved husband, two sons, and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking walks to admire nature, and appreciated a good practical joke. Cheryl could often be heard listening to Coldplay or various other alternative music, especially while she was cleaning.
Cheryl is the beloved wife of 36 years to Joseph R. Scadding. She is the devoted mother of Joseph M. Scadding and Bobby Scadding. She is the loving Nana to Aiden Joseph Scadding and Emma Rose Scadding. She is the beloved sister of Maryann Deveau and the late William Brown and James Brown. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cheryl's visiting hours on Saturday morning, March 20, 2021 from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be private.
