Marjorie Josephine (Just) Ramsey, 90 of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was the wife of the late Sherman Leslie Ramsey.
Born in Medway, Massachusetts, February 17, 1931, the daughter of the late Rudolph Just and the late Genevie Pauline (Carr) Just.
She was a graduate of Medway High School. She worked at McDonalds in Framingham as a cook for many years.
Marjorie was a women of-strong faith and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was the Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Teen Group Leader at Franklin Baptist Church. She later attended Holliston Baptist Church for many years. Marjorie was a counselor for and strong supporter of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
She enjoyed gospel music, loved Elvis Presley and the Blackwood Brothers and many other gospel music greats. She regularly attended the Annual Gospel Music Association awards in Nashville over the years.
She was a talented artist and displayed many of her works around her home.
She is survived by her three children, daughter Laurie R (Ramsey) Orrell and son-in-law, Gary Orrell of Bellingham, Massachusetts, daughter Diane E (Ramsey) Willoughby and son-in-law Robert Willoughby of Silver Spring, Maryland and son Scott S Ramsey and daughter-in-law Lauri Ann Maitland of Lynchburg, Virginia.
She was the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren, David, Mallory, Michael, Kristin, Luke and Ellia and seven great grandchildren. She spoke often and fondly of her late great grand-child, Parker Michael Willoughby.
She had three brothers, the late Robert Just, the late Russell Just and the late Richard Just, all whom she loved and adored.
Visitation will be held at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3Barber Street Medway on Thursday, March 18 from 4-6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway.
