MacInnis of Brockton, March 21, 2006, Marshall J. “Skip” MacInnis, 70 years. Devoted husband for 48 years of Victoria P. (Gilbert) MacInnis. Loving father of Marshall “Skip” Jr. and Tina Nash both of Brockton, Norma Guarino and James MacInnis both of Middleboro, Debra Norvell of Texas, Michael MacInnis of Hanover, Patty Rosado of New Bedford and Carol Luppino of E. Taunton. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton 9 am. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, High Street, Canton. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.

Obituary

Mr. MacInnis died Tuesday evening at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a period of failing health. He was born in Malden, a son of the late Marshall and Margaret M. (Bower) MacInnis and had been a resident of Brockton for the past 37 years. He was a graduate of Boston Trade High School in Roxbury. Following graduation he entered the US Navy and served as a radioman on the USS Samuel B. Roberts. For 33 years Mr. MacInnis worked at United Supply Company in Roxbury and Braintree and he was also a weekend night manager at Boston Bowl in Dorchester. For many years he was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus Seville Council 93. During that time he became a 4th Degree Grand Knight and financial treasurer. He was active in all the council’s fundraisers and activities. Mr. MacInnis bowled for many years at Westgate Lanes as a member of the Patriots League/Thursday four man handicap. He was also the financial, treasurer and secretary of the league. Longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church where he was a volunteer at bingo and the popcorn man. He loved all sports and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to Paw Sox and Brockton Rox games.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Victoria P. (Gilbert) MacInnis, his children, Marshall ”Skip” Jr. and Tina Nash both of Brockton, Norma Guarino and James MacInnis both of Middleboro, Debra Norvell of Texas, Michael MacInnis of Hanover, Patty Rosado of New Bedford and Carol Luppino of E. Taunton,24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, four sisters, Mary Hargraves of Brockton, Norma Cabral of Stoughton, Arita Kay of Wrentham and Marsha Libby of Abington, a brother Robert MacInnis of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews.

He was the loving brother of the late Ruth Paige
