Michael C. Freitas, 46 of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda S. (Pereira) Freitas with whom he shared the last 23 years.
He was born in Lowell on April 29, 1974 and was a son of Paul and Florence (Gibson) Freitas of Chelsea, MA. He was educated in Lowell, graduated from Greater Lowell Voke.
First and foremost, what truly gave Michael joy in his life was being a kind and loving father to his two wonderful children, Riley and Rachel. They were his world. He would talk about everything to them. Mike had an abundance of knowledge and he shared this with his children. Michael was an excellent bowler, having won tournaments as a young child. Growing up, Mike was involved in his families’ businesses, Brentwood Bowling Lanes and The Commonwealth House Bed and Breakfast, both in Lowell. Michael went on to work as a salesman and excelled in that career. With working with the public, Michael presented himself very well. He was a great listener, communicator and a wonderful friend. Michael enjoyed collecting action figures and collectable models and toys. He loved selling his collectables on his EBay store- CLEANUPTOYS. He was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, WWE Wrestling- especially the late Rowdy Roddy Piper.
In addition to his wife, Linda S. Freitas of Lowell, he is survived by his two children, Riley Freitas and Rachel Freitas, both of Lowell; and his parents, Paul and Florence (Gibson) Freitas of Chelsea, MA. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Freitas of Farmington, NH and Gary Freitas of Ashby, MA; many nieces and nephews including, Jacob Freitas of Dracut, MA and Shealey Freitas of Farmington, NH; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
