Obituary

Marjoryann (Dempsey) Duncan, 82 of Abington and Rockland, died peacefully at the Pat Roach Hospice Home on March 14, after a brief illness.

She was born February 4 1939 in Boston, to Thomas H and Kathryn (Moore) Dempsey.

She attended Milton Schools and she was a graduate of Massasoit College. She was a very active member of the community. Marge was a strong advocate for the developmentally disabled and those suffering of mental illness. She sat on many human rights committees and volunteered her services to many local organizations throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Duncan, and a son David T Duncan and a daughter Julie C. Duncan. Survived by Gerald L. Duncan and his wife Rachel of Brockton, Linda K. Najarian of Rockland, Natalie E. Duncan of Brockton, Sheila M. and her husband Richard Charboneau of Berkley, and MaryEllen and her husband Agostinho Rodrigues of East Taunton, and by her cherished grandchildren, James R. Thetonia of Abington, Kathryn E. Najarian and her fiancé Garrett Davidson of Rockland, Jackie and Jillian Charboneau of Berkley, and Augie, Ana and Grace Rodrigues of East Taunton.

The Duncan family invites friends and family to celebrate her life on March 22nd from 6:00-8:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Funeral services will be held for the immediate family due to COVID restrictions.
