Walter R. Walsh, of Medford, March 14th. Beloved husband of Rosemary (Morrow) Walsh. Father of Michael Walsh and his wife Marjorie of Nevada and Patrick Walsh and his wife Dolly of Medford. Grandfather of Adrian and Malory Walsh of Medford and Gray, Brynn and Maeve Walsh of Nevada. Brother of the late William Walsh and Dorothy Brenner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Walter has been a lifelong resident of Medford. He is a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1961. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy aboard the USS Shangri LA during the Vietnam War. Walter worked for and was a union member at Massport for 33 years. He was an avid railroad enthusiast , traveling through the United States and Canada on several trips with fellow enthusiasts. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday March 19th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Visiting hour s will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St., Danver, MA 01923. All those attending the services must follow social distancing protocols.
