Carol A. Wehler, a resident of Topsfield and former 18 year resident of Malden and longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 71 years of age.
Carol was born in Boston on July 29, 1949, a daughter of the late Eleanor T. "Ellie" (McGaffigan) Wehler and Richard Wehler. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1967. Carol furthered her education so that she was able to work as a Nurses Aide for several years. Carol was also a homemaker and it became apparent in her life that her love and devotion to her daughter Rachel was the most important aspect in her life. She also took great pride later in her life with the special moments she shared with her 3 grandchildren and son-in-law whose cooking she enjoyed immensely. Carol enjoyed ceramics, playing cards and bingo and enjoyed her time volunteering as a bingo caller at the Ferrin Street Senior Building. She was also a longtime member of The Eagles Club of Malden.
Carol is the devoted and loving mother to Rachel Vieira and her husband Renato. She is the loving Nana to Arianna, Mila and Caleb. She is the beloved sister of Richard Wehler and David Wehler. She is the loving aunt to Brittany Wehler. She is the dear cousin of Judy Clark. She is the dear friend of Anna Duarte.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carol's visiting hours on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her Funeral Services and burial will be private. (FACIAL COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED INSIDE THE FUNERAL HOME).
