Obituary

FALL RIVER… Robert E. Cook, Sr., 73, of Fall River passed away March 12, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the loving husband of June (Madsen) Cook to whom he had been married for 30 years.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Warren S. and Kathryn (Paradise) Cook. He moved with his family to Virginia when he was a child and remained there until moving back to Fall River in 1984.
Bob was a man of many talents and careers. Throughout his life, he had worked as a Cab Driver for Yellow Cab, as a Livery Specialist for Bristol County Livery and the former Livery Specialists Fall River Limousine, as an Oil Delivery Man, as a Funeral Attendant for Manuel Rogers Funeral Home and Southcoast Funeral Service Inc., as well as many other local funeral homes and had also owned and operated Cooks Pool Service.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and had enjoyed collecting old coins, Western movies, Country music and tinkering with anything that could need fixing.
Along with his wife, survivors include his sons: Robert E. Cook, Jr. of Globe, AZ, John Griffin of Fall River and Jason Griffin of Fall River; his daughter: Stefanie Guthrie of Virginia Beach, VA; his brothers: Warren Cook of Waldorf, MD, William Cook of Front Royal, VA and his twin Edward Cook of Manassas, VA; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis Cook.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 10 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by burial in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, RI. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5 – 8 PM.
