Teehan, Robert F. of Holbrook formerly of Dedham, passed away on March 12, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Mary (Flanagan) Teehan of Dedham, MA; He is survived by his children, Robert F Teehan, Jr. and his partner Amanda Milano, of Holbrook MA, Julie and Joseph Botte of Plymouth, MA and James M. Teehan of Bridgewater MA; his siblings, Karin Connolly of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dennis Teehan, of Dedham, MA, Donna Teehan of Onset, MA and Debra Teehan-Reidy of Buzzards Bay, MA. He was affectionately known as “Papa T” to his grandson, Camdyn Teehan, and Camdyn’s brothers, Brayden Milano and Evan Milano.
Bob was born on September 27, 1953 in Boston, MA. He graduated from Dedham High School in 1971 and went on to attend Peterson Technical School where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. There is an old saying that when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life, and for Robert this was true. From his days at Plymouth Rubber in Canton,MA, to his employment with Cushman Wakefield at 100 Federal Street, Boston, MA, he was a man that loved his work.
Bob’s happiest days were spent with his family and friends enjoying summers on Cape Cod or riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his buddies through the scenic back roads of Maine and New Hampshire. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his giving spirit, and his willingness to help out anyone at any time.
Robert was a warrior and endured his illness with courage and strength that was an inspiration to all. He will be forever missed by those who knew him and loved him.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High Street, Dedham, on Thursday, March 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to The American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
