Kathy White O’Neal, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, March 12, 2021, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, March 15, 2021, at Ocilla Cemetery in Ocilla, with the Rev. Blane Jacobs and the Rev. Christopher Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 Monday morning at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. O’Neal was born May 9, 1944, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late William D. “Billy” & Elizabeth “Lib” Wheeler White. She was a 1962 graduate of Irwin County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She worked as a hostess for Cracker Barrell, worked for Dr. Jarrett, and was a ward clerk for Dorminy Medical Center. She loved her boys and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her Chihuahuas, Lola and Prissy. Mrs. O’Neal was a member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jim “Bugs” O’Neal of Fitzgerald; sons: Charles Phillip Taylor & Michelle and Hines Taylor & Jennifer, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Peyton Taylor, McKenzie West & Dorsey, Bailey Taylor, Josie Taylor, and Ty Taylor; great-grandson, Shep West; step-sons: James W. “Woody” O’Neal, IV & DeAnna and Joseph Nelson O’Neal, all of Birmingham, Alabama; several step-grandchildren; and a cousin who was like a brother, Bill Prather of Ocilla.
