Pauline A. Titus Westlund
May 31, 1968 – March 13, 2021
Pauline Titus Westlund passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, surrounded by family. Pauline was a lifelong Mansfield resident and Mansfield High School Graduate class of 1986; she was the daughter of the late Douglas & Patricia (Santucci) Titus.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Stephen Westlund. The beloved baby sister of Kym Gaissl of Walpole and her husband Rich, Doug Titus of Plainville, and his wife Cheryl, Donald, and Dennis Titus both of Mansfield. The sister-in-law of Susan Sullivan of Easton, brother-in-law Paul Westlund and wife Jen of Foxboro, and daughter-in-law of the late Ellen Westlund. Sister Ann is a dear friend; Pauline looked forward to their daily chats.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and her beloved cat Eve.
She considered herself the first daughter to Ronny and Louise Travers, loving cousin and best friend to her five younger cousins, whom she considered sisters Missy, Tricia, Amy, Jill, and Ronni Jean. We want to recognize and send heartfelt thanks to Cutsy Conroy, Suzie DeGirolamo, and Mary Joan Todesco, lifelong friends, for always being surrogate moms to Pauline. We also want to thank Dr. Joseph Horan and Karissa Parker for their many years of care and friendship with Pauline.
Pauline's impact on the lives of those she loved and on those she touched was immense. Pauline has passed on, but her legacy for kindness, bravery, humor, and empathy for others will live forever. We are all far better off for knowing and loving her. All of us who knew Pauline were in absolute awe of her strength and bravery battling the many serious health issues she faced, all with perseverance and a sense of humor.
We will forever miss her but take comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and home with her loved ones. Through our tears, let us see the blessings of knowing and loving her – a beautiful, caring woman with a smile that warmed hearts and a twinkle in her eye that was endearing.
Pauline made our lives complete. Without Pauline, our lives will be like a book without page numbers. The story will go on, but it will feel out of order.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours, in celebration of her life, on Saturday, March 27th from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
