Sheila (Jones) Soubie, 70 of Newburyport MA died peacefully on Sunday March 7th 2021 surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. Soubie was married for 32 years to Theodore Soubie Jr. who had predeceased her in 2013.
Sheila was born in Bethesda, MD on December 18, 1950 the daughter of the late Fredrick Sr. and Catherine L. (Klemin) Jones She worked for Sentinel & Enterprise, Athol Table and was also a rental agent for Fairlane Mobile Homes before retiring.
In her spare time she loved spending time with her family, reading, loved to travel, especially to the Bahamas. She loved to crochet and knit, playing cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her country music as much as she loved to dance. She enjoyed many days on the beach soaking up the sun. But most of all she loved hanging out with her family and her two fur babies Poca and Dot.
She leaves behind her children, Michelle Ayers and her fiance’ Joseph Racioppi of Newburyport Ma, Stephanie Flagg and her husband Kevin Flagg of Winchendon Ma. She leaves her “ABC” grandchildren as she called her three grandchildren Brandon (of Fitzwilliam NH), Chelsea (of Winchendon MA), Amber (of Winchendon). She also leaves her two great grandsons Jordan and Mason. She also leaves behind her brother Fredrick Jones Jr. of Fitchburg MA, her sister Mary Caissie and her husband Robert Caissie of Melbourne Beach FL. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Sheila was predeceased by her husband Theodore Soubie Jr. and her brother Michael Jones.
