Joyce Ann Wilson, 81, of Anderson died March 12, 2021 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born April 6, 1939, in Noblesville, the daughter of John H. and Mildred (Eller) Hammond. She was the human resource specialist at Community Hospital for 33 years before retiring in 2003. She attended Journey Church of Christ.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Richard Wilson of Anderson whom she married September 26, 1959 in Anderson; her four children, Don (Cristi) Wilson of New Castle, Daniel (Michelle) Wilson of Anderson, Jeanie (Ken) Wilson of Jacksonville, FL, and Julie (Mike) Dawson of Lafayette, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Alexis Wilson, Raquel Wilson, Sydney Dawson, Erin Wilson, Stephanie Schumacher and Curt Warner; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (David) Gooding of Anderson, Judy (Don) Nicholson of Fort Worth, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers-in-law Terry and Ron Wilson.
Private family graveside service at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Soden officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Journey Church of Christ or Anderson Christian School.
