David M. Wayne, 56, beloved son of the late Gerald J. Wayne and the late Eleanor M. (Cusick) Wayne, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital with his family by his side after a brief illness.
Born February 21, 1965, in Lowell, David made his home in Lowell for many years and more recently made his home on Nancy Avenue in Dracut. David loved his sister and caretaker, Judy, and was most happy when she was with him. He also enjoyed rides in the car, treats from McDonald's, listening to music, drinking coffee, tea and coke and he loved his bunk bed.
His survivors include his loving sisters, Judith A. Wayne of Hampton Beach, NH, Mary ‘Peachie’ Kandrotas and her husband, Stephen, of Lowell, and Dr. Ellen T. McDonough and her husband, John L., of Lowell; his brother, Dr. Kevin T. Wayne and his wife, Leanne Gillis, of Lowell; he is also survived by his nephews and a niece, Eric Wayne of Lowell, Jack McDonough and his wife, Shannon, of Lowell, Joe McDonough of Lowell, Michael Kandrotas and his wife, Amanda, of Lowell, Patrick Wayne of Lowell, Jeffrey Kandrotas of Lowell and Alysandria Wayne of Lowell, his grand nieces, Zoey, Adeline and Morgan McDonough and Vivian M. Kandrotas, and grand nephew George S. Kandrotas.
He was also a brother of the late Gerald A. Wayne.
While following social distancing guidelines and wearing a mask, all are welcome to attend his calling hours on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. His Funeral Mass will be offered at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 East Merrimack Street, at 10 a.m. followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
