Marjorie A. (Corbett) Ludwig Phipps, 83 of Medway, passed away on March 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton following a brief illness.
She was born in Plymouth New Hampshire on November 10, 1937, the daughter of the late William B. and Mary Ellen (O’Donnell) Corbett and the beloved wife of John S. Phipps of Medway and of the late William F. Ludwig.
Devoted mother of the late Sean Ludwig and his wife, Pam of So. Carolina; Michael and his wife, Margarita of Maryland; Kevin and his wife, Jennifer of Delaware; William and his wife, Keri of Oregon and Robert and his wife, Beth of Ohio. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Kelly Costanza and her husband, Eugene of Milford, Tracey Mank and her husband, Richard of Texas and John Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Millville. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Loving sister of Mary Ellen Duggan and her husband, William of Maine, Patrick M. Corbett and his deceased wife, Barbara of Hudson; Esther Cunha and her husband, Ronald of Arlington; Kathleen Taylor and her husband, Jack of Myrtle Beach and William B. Corbett and his wife, Judy of Waltham and the late Richard M. Corbett.
Margie traveled the world with her first husband, Bill, and young boys for his job at the CIA. Once they settled in Potomac, MD she had a career as an administrative assistant at several Montgomery County elementary schools. After the passing of Bill, in 2001, Margie reconnected with her Allston teenage friend, John, after 60+ years at a friend’s party. They married on November 10, 2012 on the birthday that they shared and enjoyed many happy years together traveling and spending time with friends and family, especially all their grandchildren.
Margie was a woman of strong faith and an active member of the Medway Community Church, including the Prayer Shawl Group and Connect Team. Margie loved quilting and knitting. She was a treasure, a woman of true grace, loved by all that met her.
Viewing service will be held at the Community Church of Medway
on Monday March 15 from Noon-2:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00p.m.
A private graveside service will be held by the immediate family at a later date.

The Church will follow State of MA Covid-19 guidelines including wearing facemasks and social distancing.
