James Michael “Bubba” MacDonald, Sr. 57 of Whitman, MA died suddenly on February 22, 2021.
Born in Brockton, MA in 1963, he was the son of the late James E. and Ann (McCabe) MacDonald.
He was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School and spent many years as a proud member of the New England Carpenters Union, Local 346.
He enjoyed traveling, cars, his Amazon Macaw “Crackers” and his cat “Ninja.
He was a single dad, who loved caring for his son and had also provided homecare for his mother in her later years.
He leaves his sister Ellen (MacDonald) Pellerine and her husband Edward and many life-long and loyal friends. He also sadly leaves behind his beloved 16-year-old son James M. MacDonald, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday March 17 from 6:00-7:00 PM, followed by a service at 7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
Memorial donations may be made to a fund for his son James, Jr at the Rockland Trust, checks can be made out to Ellen or Ed Pellerine in care of James, and mailed to: 73 Magoun Ave, Brockton, MA 02301.
